CARE TIPS FOR YOUR CALATHEA PLANT
BY PASSION FOR FLOWERS

Hey there plant pal! I'm your new calathea, and I bring the rainforest vibes straight to your living room. But unlike the wild jungle, I do like a little TLC indoors. Here's how to keep me happy and those funky leaves looking fabulous:

Light: Think jungle floor, not sunbathing! Harsh rays are a big no-no. Give me bright, indirect sunlight, maybe a spot near an east-facing window. Think dappled light filtering through leaves, not direct rays.

Water: I like things consistently moist, but not soggy! Imagine a damp forest floor, not a swamp. Stick your finger in the soil – if the top inch feels dry, it's watering time. Avoid letting me completely dry out, but don't drown me either! Bonus points for using filtered or rainwater, as tap water can be a bit harsh on my delicate leaves.

Humidity: Ah, humidity – that's my happy place! My rainforest roots crave moisture in the air. Misting me regularly, especially in drier months, is a great way to keep me smiling. Grouping me with other humidity-loving plants or using a pebble tray with water can also help.

Temperature: Keep things warm and cozy, just like a tropical paradise. Aim for temperatures between 65°F and 85°F (18°C - 30°C). Drafts and sudden temperature changes are a no-go, so keep me away from vents and air conditioners.

Food: I'm not a heavy feeder, but a little fertilizer during spring and summer keeps me perky. Opt for a balanced houseplant food diluted to half strength. Don't overdo it though – remember, I'm a rainforest dweller, not a veggie patch!

With a little attention to light, water, humidity, and temperature, you'll have a thriving calathea that will reward you with stunning foliage and a touch of the tropics in your home. Any questions, just ask – I'm always happy to chat plants!
